Congratulations to MCHS's Kids Against Hunger! The Kids Against Hunger Initiative raised $6,000 throughout the year by holding various events, such as “Hands Across the Beach” and “Miles for Meals 5K”. All of the money that was earned went straight to our partner, “Feeding Children Everywhere” for the purchase of food. On May 12th, FCE set up a packaging event, which we hosted in MCHS’s gymnasium. We packaged 25,000 meals for Ethiopia and Haiti. The meals consisted of rice, lentils, protein powder, and a vegetable blend. We had about 50 MCHS students and 10 HOMS students come out and show their support on Saturday morning. Congratulations to MCHS for collecting the largest amount of units of blood during a single drive AND for collecting the largest amount of units of blood out of all three high schools in the district. Congratulations to all of our Pathfinder candidates. MCHS placed 1st PLACE in HISTORY/POLITICAL, 3rd PLACE IN REACH FOR EXCELLENCE, and PRIDE WINNER FOR MATH! Congratulations to the Leadership students for hosting successful drives, and thank you to all of our student and faculty donors. We saved 1677 lives! We do make a difference!
